Before

The Project

This heritage pantile roof restoration is another successful heritage roofing project completed by the team at Heritage Roofing Services!

This week, our team returned a charming Grade II listed property in North Lincolnshire to its former glory, carrying out essential restoration work to its traditional pantile roof.

The homeowner had been experiencing problems with roof leaks, which had begun to cause damage internally. With water ingress becoming an increasing concern, it was important to address the underlying issues while preserving the character and historic appearance of this beautiful property.

After

Sensitive Restoration, Lasting Protection

Working on a listed building requires a careful and considered approach. The aim is not simply to repair the roof, but to ensure that its original character and traditional features are retained wherever possible.

Our experienced roofing team carefully stripped the existing roof covering back to the rafters, allowing us to address the underlying roofing structure and install a new layer of protection against the elements.

We fitted high-quality breathable roofing felt, together with new tantalised timber battens, creating a reliable foundation for the reinstatement of the roof tiles. The original pantiles were cleaned and then carefully re-laid, retaining their distinctive shape and aged appearance.

By reusing the existing pantiles, we were able to preserve the authentic character of the roof while ensuring the roof will continue to look this good for years to come, but without the problems.

Another heritage roofing project completed, another traditional roof protected for the future.
